The charm of the historic home carries a
Warm and inviting atmosphere. The artful decor and the relaxed pace made our days good. I particularly enjoyed Vaughan's stories about each piece. The location was ideal, though sometimes the quietness felt a bit too serene for my taste.

The beautiful gardens added a charming touch to our stay.
Staying in the room felt quite confining, and the lack of a shower was unacceptable. I initially thought I could manage with just a bathtub, but the experience quickly wore thin. The dim lighting.

Couple Southern experience
Vaughn treated us like family and prepared the most delicious southern breakfasts each morning. I loved how she gave us a personal tour of the area, pointing out the old homes and sharing bits of Charleston's history.
It wasn't cheap but the quality and experience made it still acceptable.

great character but somewhat dark for my taste
The historic charm of the home stood out throughout my stay. The owner provided a personalized tour that showcased the local highlights and enriched my understanding of the area. Each morning's breakfast was a good surprise, crafted with care and with unique Southern flavors, which left me eager for the next day's meal.
The room felt a bit darker than I preferred, which impacted the overall ambiance.

Staying at 22 Charlotte was a dream! The home exuded Southern charm, and Vaughn's hospitality. My room was beautifully decorated and unusually quiet for a city environment. Each morning, I enjoyed a glorious breakfast prepared with care. The portions were generous, often leaving me too full for lunch. Vaughn's personal touch extended to knowledge of Charleston, offering insights and recommendations that guided my exploration of the city. One unexpected detail was the historical charm combined with modern conveniences like off-street parking. Although the only bathing facility was a bathtub, it added to the historic experience but could be a drawback for those preferring a shower. The cozy ambience, with fires crackling in the winter. The room was kept a touch darker than I liked, perhaps to preserve the charm. I also found the neighborhood peaceful, but sometimes the street could get busier than expected.
